Every Monday the Mid-American Conference has a teleconference with the head football coaches of all 13 conference schools and the media. Below are quotes from University of Toledo head coach Tom Amstutz during his portion of the teleconference.
On the Arizona Wildcats
"I'm very impressed with them. Their talent on both sides of the ball definitely stood out. That game could have been 100-0. They had control of the game, both sides of the ball, and were very impressive."
About Arizona's Offense
"Their offense is outstanding. They have a lot of veteran's back, starting with the quarterback. He's outstanding. Their wide receivers are very talented and quick, and then they ran the ball very well against Idaho. That makes it a very difficult offense to prepare for when they can run the ball, throw it, and throw screens the way that they do."
On who we will see at running back for Toledo
"Our starting tailback will be DaJuane Collins. You will see a redshirt freshman running back, Morgan Williams. Those will be the top two."
On having an extra week before the first game
"We still have another week to prepare. We're gonna have to really play our very best football to go out there and give them a game."
On Toledo's Wide Receiver Tandem
"Our two receivers are Nick Moore and Stephen Williams. Stephen is coming off a year in which he had over 1000 yards in receptions and he's working hard. Those two players are two of the players that are gonna have to step up and make plays in order to give us a chance against Arizona's fine defense."
