Rocket Basketball Reunion

Taking a page from UT football coach Tim Beckman, Rocket basketball coach Gene Cross is inviting all former UT basketball players back to campus this weekend. The University of Toledo men's basketball program will be holding the first ever Toledo Rocket Basketball Reunion. Read on for more information on the reunion.

Toledo head football coach Tim Beckman has made it a priority to welcome back former Rocket football players, keeping them engaged in the Rocket football family. The idea has been a success. Now head basketball coach Gene Cross is taking a page from Beckman.

The University of Toledo men's basketball program is inviting all former players to the first ever Toledo Rocket Basketball Reunion on campus this weekend.

"This weekend is going to be a special event for us as we celebrate the great tradition of Rocket Basketball," Toledo head basketball coach Gene Cross told utrockets.com. He added, "I'm looking forward to meeting and getting to know former players that have made this program so special."

The reunion will kickoff with a reception at 7:00pm Friday night in the Joe Grogan Room of Savage Arena. Appetizers will be available, along with a cash bar. Former players will then be invited to attend Saturday's practice (8am-11am) and get a tour of the facility at the conclusion of practice.

Finally a tailgate party at the Varsity "T" All-Sports Pavilion will begin later in the day, around 5:00pm. After the tailgate party, join everyone for Toledo's football game against Temple at 7:00pm. COmplimentary hot dogs, snacks, and beverages will be provided.
