The Toledo Rockets (3-2, 1-0) look to remain unbeaten in MAC play when they host the Western Michigan Broncos (2-3, 1-1) this Saturday night at the Glass Bowl. Rocket Digest makes one bold prediction on how this game will unwind. Will the Rockets improve to 4-2 under new coach Tim Beckman?

The Toledo Rokets (3-2, 1-0) look to knock off the visiting Western Michigan Broncos (2-3, 1-1) at the Glass Bowl tomorrow night in Toledo. Will Toledo win two straight games for the first time this season? Will Aaron Opelt finally notch a win over Western Michigan? RocketDigest.com gives one bold prediction on Saturday's game.

One Bold Prediction

Now is an interesting time to be a Rocket. This is one game that the Toledo Rockets should win. Will they? Well that's the big question. In recent seasons it seems the Rockets have squandered away opportunity after opportunity. Losses by the handful, often times in games the Midnight Blue and Gold should have won, have piled up.

So how does one predict a UT win in another game that could fall into this group?

Here's how.

Coach Tim Beckman brings a new mentality to the Toledo Rocket football program. As doubt crept into the minds of Rocket faithful during the previous three seasons, it's now been replaced with a never say die attitude. Toledo's confidence must be near an all-time high for this roster, especially after a successful 2-2 record with a brutal non-conference schedule. With that confidence, the Rockets WILL overcome the mental block against the Broncos.

Western Michigan will be confident coming out of the gate. They should be. UT hasn't beaten the Broncos since Opelt arrived at Toledo. With that said, the talent level at Western Michigan right now isn't what it was last year. With that confidence on both sidelines, expect a back and forth contest.

Toledo needs to take advantage of a quick start with a rambunctious homecoming crowd. Western Michigan needs to weather the Rockets storm. As has been the case for much of the season, expect both teams to put points on the board.

It wouldn't shock me to see Western Michigan holding a fourth quarter lead. In the end, however, it will be the Rockets with a late game come from behind win to send the homecoming crowd home happy.
