The Toledo offense was too much for the Colorado Buffaloes, as the Rockets opened a 30-3 lead and cruised to a 54-38 victory over the Big 12 school. The Rockets held a 54-24 lead with 4:01 to play in the game. The Rockets improve to 1-1 on the season, while Colorado falls to 0-2.

Colorado
of the Big 12 Conference. Despite the closer final score, Toledo led 54-24 with just 4:01 to play in the 4th quarter.
Senior quarterback
Aaron Opelt
was 15 of 23 for 319 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also rushed for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns on 8 carries.
Senior running back DaJuane Collins had a breakout game with 20 rushes for 160 yards (8.0 avg) and one touchdown.
Eric Page
led receivers in yardage with 3 receptions for 138 yards and one touchdown, while
Danny Noble
added 5 catches for 56 yards and one touchdown and
Kenny Stafford
added 4 receptions for 88 yards and one touchdown.
Tight end
Tom Burzine
had one catch for 23 yards and a touchdown.
Robin Bailey
and DaJuane Collins each caught one pass as well.
Toledo racked up 624 total yards in the game with 305 yards rushing and 319 yards passing.
Toledo is now 3-0 against Big 12 teams at the Glass Bowl in the last four years. In 2006 the Rockets defeated
Kansas
37-31 in overtime, and in 2007 they defeated
Iowa State
36-35.
Next Saturday Toledo hosts
Ohio State
at Cleveland Browns Stadium. The game is slated for a Noon kickoff and will air on ESPN Plus.
