Opelt Named MAC West POTW
The 67 pass attempts is a single-game school record at the University of Toledo. His 41 completions are the second most in UT history, and the 423 passing yards rank fourth and were a career-best for Opelt.
After one week in the college football season, Aaron Opelt leads the nation in passing yards (423 yards), and completions (41).
For his career, Opelt has now moved into fourth place for completions (512) and fifth place for attempts (880).
Opelt and the Rockets take on Colorado of the Big 12 Conference this Friday night in a nationally televised game on ESPN. Colorado lost to arch-rival Colorado State at home Sunday night, 23-17. Friday's kickoff is scheduled for 9pm.
The University of Toledo is calling for a "Midnight Blue-Out" for the Colorado game. All Rocket fans are being asked to wear "Midnight Blue" clothing to the game.
