Verlon Reed to Visit Toledo

Verlon Reed is a 6-2, 185 pound quarterback with excellent speed. He is the type of athletic QB that would fit Toledo's spread offense perfectly. Being pursued by Toledo pretty heavily, Reed is now ready to take an unofficial visit to Toledo to see what the buzz is all about. Read on for more information on Reed and his upcoming visit to Toledo.

Rocket Digest has learned that QB Verlon Reed (6-2, 185, 4.3) will visit Toledo's campus this Friday for an unofficial visit. Reed is high on Toledo's recruiting board at quarterback.

Reed has offers from Toledo and Bowling Green, and is hearing from many of the MAC schools as well as Michigan and Wisconsin.

Rocket assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Alex Golesh is recruiting Verlon to Toledo. With just four scholarship quarterbacks left on Toledo's roster, and one of them being a senior this fall, Toledo will likely take two QB's in the 2010 recruiting class. Reed is among the top prospects at the position that Toledo has offered.

Other offers include Synjyn Days, Dwight Macon, Derek Roback, and John Whitelaw.

Stay tuned to Rocket Digest for developing news on Reed's visit to Toledo.
