Griffin to Camp at Toledo

The Rocket coaching staff has been recruiting high school players that know how to win, have very good grades, and have a lot of talent. St. Francis DeSales athlete Adam Griffin is no exception. The Columbus, OH student holds a 3.8 GPA in the classroom, runs a 4.5 forty, and played on a team that went 13-1 last season.

The Rocket coaching staff has been recruiting high school players that know how to win, have very good grades, and have a lot of talent. St. Francis DeSales athlete Adam Griffin is no exception. The Columbus, OH student holds a 3.8 GPA in the classroom. He played on a team that went 13-1 last year, and he runs a 4.5 forty yard dash and can play running back, slot receiver, safety, or cornerback.

Right now Griffin has offers from Air Force, Navy, and Eastern Illinois. He is also hearing from Toledo, Northwestern, Indiana, Bowling Green, and Vanderbilt.

Running backs coach and recruiting coordinator Alex Golesh is recruiting Griffin for Toledo, and while he does not have an offer yet he is hoping that one will come this weekend. "I do not havfe an offer from Toledo, but they may offer me this Sunday at their camp." Griffin told Rocket Digest that Toledo is looking at him as an athlete that could play running back, slot receiver, safety, or cornerback.

Along with the Toledo camp this weekend, Griffin has already attended a camp at Bowling Green and will attend camps this summer at Indiana, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, and Northwestern.

Griffin is 5-8 and 185 pounds, and runs a 4.5 forty yard dash. Last season he had 837 yards rushing on just 103 carries, 21 receptions for 502 yards, and 9 offensive touchdowns. He also recorded 93 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and 5 interceptions. He returned one punt for a touchdown and had over 500 return yards.

Adam has a plan for working out this summer to improve his game. "I am working on technical things in my game. I am doing vision drills, explosion drills, and watching a lot of film to gain better knowledge and a better feel for the game of football."

As for favorites in the recruiting process, Griffin says he does not have any right now. "I only have three offers, none of which I want to go to at this moment. I will develop a list after the summer."

Adam did mention that if he can get some better offers before the summer is out, he would like to commit by the end of summer. However, he also said he has no problem with waiting until after his season season is over to make a commitment.

Stay tuned to Rocket Digest and look for an update on Adam Griffin next week, to see how his time in Toledo goes this Sunday.
