The Gene Cross Basketball Camps

University of Toledo head men's basketball coach Gene Cross will hold several basketball camps this summer, including a "Little Dribblers" camp on Friday, July 3rd. The Little Dribblers camp, as well as the other camps, are designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball. Read on for more information on all of the camps.

University of Toledo head men's basketball coach Gene Cross will be holding a "Little Dribblers" basketball camp on Friday July 3rd. The camp is part of the Gene Cross Basketball Camps to be held this summer at the University of Toledo. The "Little Dribblers" camp is designed for kids ages 5-7 to teach the kids the fundamentals of the game of basketball.

The purpose of the basketball camps are outlined in the following statement from the UT Athletic Media Office:

"The purpose of the Gene Cross Basketball camps is to instruct young players in the fundamentals of the game and help instill in them a love and appreciation for basketball and good sportsmanship. A tremendous staff of instructors are featured, including the University of Toledo Coaching Staff, college and high school coaches from across the United States and college athletes. Every participant can count on an exciting and rewarding week of playing hard, playing together, having fun and improving his basketball skills. Campers will have the opportunity to play in the newly-renovated Savage Arena as well as tour the entire facility."

In all, there will be two four-day camps and the one-day Little Dribblers camp in the Gene Cross basketball camp schedule this summer. The first camp will run Monday through Thursday, June 8-11, from 9:00am until 4:00pm each day. The second camp will run Monday through Thursday, June 29 through July 2nd, and also from 9:00am until 4:00pm each day. The Little Dribblers camp on Friday, July 3rd will run from 9:00am until Noon.
