Three 2009 Recruits in Ohio All-Star Game

The University of Toledo will have three 2009 signees playing in the OHSFCA North-South All Star Classic this year. Offensive lineman Zac Kerin is on the South roster, while defensive lineman Ben Pike and linebacker Dan Molls are on the North roster. The trio are already practicing for the game, which will be held on June 14th at 4:00pm at Ohio Stadium in Columbus.

Zac Kerin (Olentangy HS) is currently 6-5 and 275 pounds. He's put on about 10 pounds since last fall as he prepares for Toledo. Zac will be getting to Toledo this summer to workout. "Yeah, late June. After the North-South game," Kerin recently told Rocket Digest when asked when he would be coming to Toledo.

Zac was a team captain and offensive MVP for Olentangy as a senior in 2008. He was also the special teams MVP. As a junior in 2007 he only played defense, making 45 tackles. He plans on majoring in Engineering at Toledo.

Ben Pike is a 6-3, 245 pound defensive lineman from Mentor High School. He recorded 70 total tackles, 14.5 sacks, 10 QB pressures, and 20 tackles for loss as a senior at Mentor in 2008. Pike was named the Ohio Division II Defensive Player of the Year as well in 2008. He plans on majoring in Education at Toledo.

Joining Pike on the North roster is linebacker Dan Molls of Padua Franciscan High School near Cleveland. Molls is 6-1, 220 pounds, and runs a 4.57 forty yard dash. He was rated the #73 inside linebacker prospect in the nation by Scout.com for the 2009 recruiting class. He had offers from most of the MAC.

Molls was a First-Team Division II All-State selection in both his junior and senior seasons at Padua Franciscan. He was a member of the National Honor Society and plans on majoring in Physical Therapy at Toledo.
