Right now the Toledo Rockets football team is going through a rigorous winter conditioning program as they get ready for the 2009 football season in the fall. However, for new head coach Tim Beckman, the first taste of Rocket football on the practice field is less than two months away in the form of spring practices.

For new head coach Tim Beckman, the first taste of Rocket football on the practice field is less than two months away in the form of spring practices. The Rockets will kick off their spring practice schedule on Wednesday, March 18th.

The exciting news for Rocket fans is the return of the Blue and Gold spring game. The Blue and Gold game will be held on Friday, April 17th at 7:00pm. The game will be open to the public, and there will be an autograph session following the game.

Not all details for the Blue and Gold spring game have been finalised, but some are in. The Rocket football program will draft into teams and have guest coaches at the game. These guest coaches will be some former players that have not yet been announced.
