Manny Bell is a 6-6 and 274 pound offensive lineman from Schenley High School in Pittsburgh, PA. After taking an official visit to Toledo, Bell was ready to commit but didn't have an offer. Then on Thursday he got the news he was waiting for and committed to the Rockets.

Manny Bell is a 6-6 and 274 pound offensive lineman from Schenley High School in Pittsburgh, PA. He took an official visit to the University of Toledo on January 16th.

Joe Underwood was his player host on the visit. "We toured the facilities and the weight rooms," Bell said. "We toured the campus and went downtown also."

So how did the weekend visit go?

"It went great," Bell told Rocket Digest about the visit. "I had a great experience on campus."

In fact, Manny had such a great time that he was ready to commit, except he needed an official offer from the Rockets. Then Thursday Manny got the news he wanted in the form of an offer from Toledo and committed right away.

"I love the fact that it reminded me a lot of Pittsburgh, a smaller version of Pittsburgh," Bell said when asked about his decision to commit to Toledo. He also added, "campus security is great. The academics are great, and their athletic tradition.

Bell was recruited to Toledo by co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Matt Campbell. "He was recruiting me when he was at BG. He's a great guy. Coach Beckman as well. I can tell by the way they speak they are there to win."

Along with the offer from Toledo, Bell has offers from Robert Morris, Maine, South Carolina State, IUP, Seton Hill, and Duquense. Bowling Green was also recruiting him while Matt Campbell was coaching there.

Manny plans to get to Toledo this summer to start working out. "I graduate in June and will be coming the week after I graduate," said Manny. He plans on majoring in secondary education at Toledo. Recommended Stories
