Back From Toledo

Eric Page committed to Toledo back in October, after Toledo's 13-10 win over Michigan. Despite a coaching change, Page has remained committed to the Rockets. After an in-home visit last week and an official visit to campus this weekend, is Page still committed to Toledo?

Springfield High School standout Eric Page was one of the players on campus this weekend for an official visit. After an in-home visit from the new coaching staff last week, and an official visit to campus this weekend, Rocket Digest has the latest.

"It was real tight. I liked it a lot," Eric Page told Rocket Digest about his visit to Toledo's campus this weekend.

When Coach Amstutz announced he was resigning at the end of the season, Page told Rocket Digest that he hoped to create a bond with the new head coach. The day after Tim Beckman was named head coach at Toledo, Coach Beckman called Eric to discuss his commitment.

"From speaking to him, he seemed like a good guy and is very excited about the upcoming season," Page said about the conversation he had with Coach Beckman after he was hired.

Then last week Toledo made an in-home visit to Page and invited him to campus this weekend for his official visit.

Eric is one of three current commitments to the University of Toledo football program, but Coach Beckman is hoping to sign about 20 players in this class.

Page expects to play slot receiver at Toledo, and have an opportunity to return kicks as well. Recommended Stories
