The game winning points for Toledo came from junior kicker Alex Steigerwald in the 4th quarter when he just barely made a 48 yard field goal to give the Rockets a 13-10 lead.

Senior wide receiver Nick Moore broke a school record, previously held by his brother Lance Moore, with 20 receptions, going for 162 yards. Junior running back DaJuane Collins rushed for 65 yards on 10 carries, and junior quarterback Aaron Opelt threw for 257 yards.

Toledo's only touchdown was a 101 yard interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter by senior free safety Tyrrell Herbert.
