Steigerwald is MAC West Special Teams POTW

University of Toledo junior kicker Alex Steigerwald has been named MAC West Division Special Teams Player of the Week.

Steigerwald was three for three on his field goal attempts against the PAC-10's Arizona Wildcats Saturday night. He connected on kicks from 20, 35, and 21 yards out. He also made his only extra point attempt, accounting for 10 of Toledo's 16 points in the game.

Alex is 23 of 24 on field goal attempts in his career, an impressive 95.8%. He is on pace to break the NCAA record as the most accurate kicker in NCAA history.

Steigerwald has made 18 consecutive field goals for the Rockets.
