UT Hires Brad Konerman

Earlier today, University of Toledo Head Men's Basketball Coach Gene Cross announced the hiring of Brad Konerman as the Rockets' Director of Basketball Operations.

"Brad has been a very dedicated member of the Xavier program for the last four years, and he'll bring that same dedication and work ethic here to the University of Toledo," Coach Cross said in his announcement of the hiring. He continued, "he has a strong desire to be on the floor as an assistant coach at some point in time, and this position will help him continue to learn the game of basketball. Brad also has tremendous organizational skills, and he's going to enhance our efforts in all aspects of our program."

Brad will handle administrative tasks for the men's basketball program. This will include running the basketball summer camps, organizing on-campus recruiting visits, and coordinating recruiting databases for the coaching staff.

Konerman is a native of Cincinnati, OH. He graduated from Xavier in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in history.

He served as manager of Xavier's basketball program in his first two years with the team, starting in the 2004-05 season. For the last two seasons he served as a program assistant, with duties including working with summer basketball camps, recruiting databases, on-campus recruiting, and serving as a liaison to academic advising.
