UT Football to Play Wyoming

The University of Toledo and UT Athletic Director Mike O'Brien announced today a home-and-home football series between the Toledo Rockets and the Wyoming Cowboys. Toledo will host Wyoming in 2010, and will then travel to Laramie, WY in 2012.

UT Athletic Director Mike O'Brien announced today a home-and-home football series between the Toledo Rockets and the Wyoming Cowboys.

Toledo will host Wyoming in the first game of the series at Glass Bowl Stadium on October 2, 2010. Wyoming will then host the Rockets in Laramie, WY on September 8, 2012.

"Wyoming is an exellent addition to our home schedule," said UT Athletic Director mike O'Brien. "They play very good football in the Mountain West Conference, and I'm sure our fans will look forward to this game. We also look forward to traveling to another part of the country and playing at Wyoming in 2012."

"Wyoming will be another challenging non-conference opponent for us," said UT head football coach Tom Amstutz. "I have a lot of respect for Coach Glenn and the job he has done there. We look forward to what should be a great home-and-home series with the University of Wyoming."

Toledo and Wyoming have never played each other in football.

This gives Toledo four non-conference opponents for the 2010 season and two non-conference opponents in 2012. Toledo will host Arizona (9/04) and Wyoming (10/02), while playing at Boise State (9/11) and at Purdue (9/25) in 2010.

In 2012 Toledo now has non-conference games scheduled at Arizona (9/01) and at Wyoming (9/08).
