The University of Toledo announced their 2008 football schedule earlier today. The schedule is highlighted with games at Arizona, vs Fresno State, at Michigan, vs Central Michigan, and vs Bowling Green. Toledo will play six home games again in 2008 with at least two nationally televised games on the schedule.

The University of Toledo released their 2008 football schedule earlier today. The schedule consists of six home games and road games at Arizona and Michigan.

Toledo will kickoff the season on September 6th at Arizona. The game will be the first in a three game series with the PAC 10's Arizona Wildcats. The next game in the series will be at the Glass Bowl in 2010, and the final game will be at Arizona in 2012.

Toledo will also play a non-conference game in Ann Arbor, MI on October 11th, against the Michigan Wolverines.

The other two non-conference games will be home contests against Fresno State and Florida International. The Fresno State game is the final game in a home-and-home series that had Toledo playing in Fresno back in 2005. The Florida International contest will be the first in a home-and-home series that has Toledo playing at Florida International in 2009.

The conference schedule is loaded with strong MAC teams. Three cross-over games are at Akron, vs Miami University, and vs arch-rival Bowling Green. The Rockets will also host West Division foes Central Michigan and Ball State. The final three West Division opponents will be road contests against Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, and Northern Illinois.

Two of the games are already slated for national television. The November 5th meeting at Akron is scheduled for either ESPN2 or ESPNU. Also, the November 28th meeting against Bowling Green in the Glass Bowl will either be on ESPNU or ESPN Classic. More games are expected to be added to national or regional television packages.

Toledo returns 15 starters from last season's team that went 5-7 overall and 3-5 in the MAC.
