Storm Timson can play running back, wide receiver, quarterback, or defensive back. The 5-10, 186 pound athlete put up some solid stats despite missing five games with an injury in 2007, and he is ready to make an impact in his senior season.
Storm Timson
is a 5-10, 186 pound athlete from Licking Heights High School. Despite missing five games in 2007 with an injury, Timson caught four touchdown passes and rushed for three more on offense.
Defensively he had 37 tackles with seven tackles for loss, two interceptions, two sacks, and two fumble recoveries. He also returned kickoffs and punts for Licking Heights.
Timson runs a 4.59 forty and can play several positions. When asked about Storm's abilities, Licking Heights Coach Darren Waters told Rocket Digest "speed, versatility to play a number of positions, and a punishing hitter on defense" were his best assets.
"Storm is a triple threat on offense," said Waters. "He can run the ball, catch the ball, and throw the ball. Anytime he touches the football there is a good chance that he will turn in into a big play," he added.
Storm is also a good defensive player. "He takes great pride in knowing and executing his responsibilites," said Waters. "He is explosive and has the ability to make big hits," he concluded.
Storm Timson knows that there is more to life than football though. "He works hard in the classroom and understands how his academic success will help him reach his goals," Coach Waters told Rocket Digest. He added, "Storm is a quality person and continues to develop as a leader and team player.
With his senior year of high school still to come, Storm has already been receiving interest from a number of colleges. He has been hearing from
Toledo
,
Illinois
,
Northwestern
, Miami University,
Cincinnati
,
Wisconsin
,
Georgia Tech
, and
Ohio State
.
He has already made an unofficial visit to Toledo and has talked to Coach Richard McNutt several times. McNutt had been the one recruiting Storm for the Rockets, and he had been recruiting him as a defensive back.
At this time Timson does not have any official offers, but hopes to gain some while doing the camp circuit this summer.
Stay tuned to Rocket Digest over the next several months as we keep you updated on Storm Timson's recruitment.
