Rockets Announce Spring Football Schedule

Spring football at the University of Toledo is just around the corner. In fact, it is just 31 days from today! The annual spring scrimmage will be open to the public, and will take place on Friday, April 11th.

The University of Toledo has announced the 2008 spring football schedule. The Rockets football program will conduct 15 practice sessions, beginning Friday, March 14th and concluding Monday, April 14th.

All practices are closed to the public, except for Friday, April 11th. The team is scheduled to run a scrimmage in pads on that day, and the public can come and watch the Rockets. The scrimmage is expected to take place at Glass Bowl Stadium.

The Rockets will be looking to get 2008 off to a good start with a solid spring. Toledo is coming off of a pair of 5-7 seasons that snapped a 12 year streak of winning seasons. It appears that Toledo will open the 2008 season at Arizona on on September 6th.

Rocket summer camp dates have also been set for those interested in participating in a Rocket football summer camp. Senior evaluation camps will be June 1st, 8th, and 12th.

The quarterback and receivers camp will take place from June 9th through the 11th. The 7-on-7 passing tournament will be June 7th.

There will be offensive and defensive linemen camps on June 6th and July 9th and 10th. And finally the Youth camps will be June 23rd through 26th and July 14th through 17th.
