Cadet Opts Out of UT

Rocket Digest has just confirmed that former three-star recruit Travaris Cadet has opted out of the Toledo Rockets football program. Where is the dual threat quarterback at now and what was his reason behind leaving the University of Toledo.

Rocket Digest has just confirmed that former three-star recruit Travaris Cadet has left the Toledo Rockets football program. Cadet was the No. 65-ranked wide receiver out of Miami Central High School in 2007, but choose to pursue his career as a QB with the Toledo Rockets in last February's recruiting class.

Cadet took a redshirt during his first and only season with the Rockets, but was expected to compete for time on the field this fall.

"Yes sir," Cadet said when confirming to Rocket Digest that he's left the Toledo program. "I have left. I'm at Pearl River Junior College. I have to do a year here, and then I'll leave and go to another school."

Now in Mississippi, Cadet had one message for fans of the Toledo football program.

"Basically it had nothing to do with football. It was a personal issue. That's why I left."

Cadet now gone and Clint Cochran's career in question, expect for sophomore D.J. Lenehan, junior college transfer Alex Pettee and freshman David Pasquale to compete for the primary back up job behind junior Aaron Opelt.
