Jones Commits to Toledo

Ty Jones has committed to the Toledo Rockets as a part of the class of 2008. What does Jones bring to the football program and how does he see himself fitting in with the rest of the Midnight Blue and Gold?

According to TBO.com, the Toledo Rockets have received a commitment from running back Ty Jones of Middleton High School. Jones was an official visitor on the University of Toledo campus last weekend.

"They know they got a steal," Jones coach Harry Hubbard told Tampa Bay Online about the commitment. "They're happier than a baby in a candy store. If you look at him on film, he does things you can't teach."

Jones ran for 1,228 yards and 16 touchdowns in his senior year.

"He told me 'Coach, it's not too big and I like the players,'" Hubbard said. "He said it's a good fit for him."
