Varsity "T" Hall of Fame Inductees

The University of Toledo Varsity "T" Hall of Fame has announced its 2008 inductees. The inductees, 10 former University of Toledo student-athletes, will be inducted into the Varsity "T" Hall of Fame on February 1st.

The University of Toledo Varsity "T" Hall of Fame announced its 2008 inductees today. The list includes 10 former University of Toledo student-athletes. They will be inducted into the Varsity "T" Hall of Fame on Friday, February 1st.

The 2008 class will also be introduced at halftime of the men's and women's basketball games on Saturday, February 2nd. The Lady Rockets will host rival Bowling Green that day, while the Rocket men will host Kent State.


The 2008 Varsity "T" Hall of Fame inductees are as follows:

Occie Burt (Football 1957-59 and Baseball 1958-60)

Melvin Miller (Football 1966-68 and Track & Field 1967-69)

John Ross (Football 1972-74)

Steve Schnitkey (Football 1968-71)

Greg Stempin (Basketball 1997-2001)

Mike Tippenhauer (Baseball 1975-78)

Sara Vergote (Cross Country and Indoor/Outdoor Track 1998-2002)

Colin Westrich (Football 1995-99)

Don Whiting (Baseball 1977-81)

Fred Zimmerman (Football 1963-65)
