Rocket Digest has just confirmed the sixth commitment of the 2008 recruiting class. John Lamb, a 6-foot-3, 229-pound prospect from Southfield, Mich., has become the newest edition of the Rocket family. Lamb is listed as a two-star prospect who's yet to get film evaluated on Scout.com. He's slated to started his Rocket career at defensive end after starting at tight end for his Southfield H.S. football team. "I committed to Coach Amstutz in October," Lamb told Rocket Digest over the phone earlier this evening. "It was in October. I was hearing from Buffalo and Central, definitely Central though." Toledo was the first school to offer a scholarship offer to the talented prep player from the state up north, but, according to Lamb, Central Michigan was on the verge of offering at the time of his UT commitment. Lamb took his official visit to Toledo last weekend. He's the sixth known commitment for the class of 2008. Stay tuned to Rocket Digest as we bring more on the newest UT commitment later in the week. |
