Rockets Sign Deal with Missouri

University of Toledo Director of Athletics, Mike O'Brien, announced a home and home deal with the Missouri Tigers today. Toledo will travel to Missouri in 2013, while the Tigers return the favor to the Glass Bowl in Toledo, OH in 2014.

The University of Toledo has announced today that the Rockets football program have signed a home and home deal with the Big 12's Missouri Tigers. Toledo will play at Missouri on September 7th of 2013, and then the Tigers will make a return trip to the Glass Bowl on September 6th of 2014.

"Missouri is a great addition to our home schedule. They are one of the top football teams in the country this year. The series is a few years down the line, but I know our fans will be looking forward to it with great anticipation," UT Athletics Director Mike O'Brien was quoted as saying by the University of Toledo Sports Information director. Missouri is 11-2 and ranked 7th in the country this year. They play Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl on January 1st. The Tigers are coached by Gary Pinkel. Pinkel was the head coach at Toledo from 1991-2000 and is the all-time leader in victories at Toledo with 73.

Future Rocket home games against non-conference opponents now include Fresno State (2008), Florida International (2008), Boise State (2009), Ohio State (at Cleveland Browns Stadium in 2009), Arizona (2010), and Missouri (2014).
