Commitment No. 3

Commitment No. 3

Tom Amstutz has been working hard to bring in the best possible players for the 2008 recruiting class. As recruiting heats up with just over two months until signing day, have the Rockets received another commitment?

Evanston Township offensive guard/defensive tackle Danny Farr has committed to the University of Toledo according to his high school football coach, Anthony Johnson. "Dan Farr has committed to Toledo," said coach Johnson. He added, "he is there this weekend on his official, coach clayton has been recruiting him and has done an outstanding job."

Farr is rated the #33 defensive tackle prospect in the 2008 recruiting class by and is also listed as a three star prospect. However, coach Johnson said that Toledo has recruited him to play on the offensive line. The 6-4, 270 pounder had offers from Toledo, Cincinnati, Minnesota, and Illinois.

Given Toledo's troubles on defense this year, particularly the lack of a pass rush, Danny Farr could wind up on the defensive side of the ball at some point.

This is a huge pickup for Coach Tom Amstutz and the Rocket football staff, as the first public verbal that is rated three stars by the recruiting service. Recommended Stories
