University of Toledo senior punter Brett Kern has been named one of three finalists for the Ray Guy Award given out to the nation's top punter.

Toledo senior punter Brett Kern was named a finalist today for the Ray Guy Award given out to the nation's top punter. Kern is one of three finalists that will make the trip to Orlando, FL for ESPN's Home Depot College Football Awards show on December 6th.

Kern has averaged 46.5 yards per punt this season, which is 2nd in the country. Cincinnati's Kevin Huber is 1st in the country with a 46.51 yards per punt average.

17 of Kern's 50 punts this year have pinned the other team inside their 20 yard line. 11 of his punts have resulted in fair catches by the opposition. His season long punt was 66 yards.

The three finalists for the Ray Guy Award are Toledo's Brett Kern, Cincinnati's Kevin Huber, and Georgia Tech's Durant Brooks.
