Deacs eyeing DB Jones

The Wake Forest staff hasn't offered many junior college players over the years, so when they do you know they must have something special. That's certainly the case with Riyahd Jones, a 6-foot, 185-pound defensive back at Garden City (Kan.) Community College, who is having a sensational sophomore year in the Jayhawk conference.

"Last Tuesday I received the [Wake Forest] offer from Coach Knorr," said Riyahd Jones. "He said he liked my size and speed, and my background at Carver [High School]. He said he knew some of my coaches there. He loved my film and said they were ready to offer me.
